Flagler Department of Economic Opportunity, the Economic Development Office for Flagler County and its municipalities, is dedicated to helping establish your business quickly and efficiently. It is our mission to enhance, promote, and develop the industrial and commercial growth of Flagler County. A great part of this mission is projects like:

Prospect Park. Prospect Park is a cooperative initiative between Flagler Department of Economic Opportunity, the City of Palm Coast and area land owners to establish an industrial park to create much needed space for attracting businesses. The single largest barrier to companies relocating or expanding in Flagler County is appropriate industrial space that is completed and ready to occupy. It is this kind of insight, initiative and cooperation that sets Flagler Department of Economic Opportunity apart.

Economic Development Summit. The entire economic development community, including citizens, organizations, municipalities and non-profits came together in May of 2011 to work on a plan for economic development for the county. Summaries of each of these meetings can be found on the NEWS section of this site.

Brownfields Initiative. Recently Flagler County, the City of Palm Coast and Flagler Department of Economic Opportunity worked closely to establish the Flagler Economic Enhancement District (FEED). This creates an area designated to receive State and Federal assistance for development.

HUBZone. Flagler Department of Economic Opportunity continues to pursue HUBZONE status for the Palm Coast Town Center. HUBZones provide additional incentives to cluster development in an area. These incentives can allow large government contracts or headquarters to receive priority when considering the area.

If you are looking for industrial or commercial space to relocate or grow your business, call Flagler Department of Economic Opportunity to explore these and other options for your growing needs.
